Replacing the Roof of an Old Victorian House in Willimantic, CT | Customer Testimonial

Klaus Larsen Roofing Contractor recently finished an extremely challenging roof replacement project in Willimantic, CT. The beautiful victorian home known as the John A. McDonald house was built in 1892 by the founder, editor and president of the Willimantic Chronicle. It has been a prominent feature in town for over a century. The project was challenging for a number of reasons:

There were architectural features common to victorian-era homes and four skylights that had to be considered and worked around. There were safety concerns due to the proximity to power lines, and the fact that there wasn't a lot of room between the house, street and neighboring homes.

We would have to get the crews and material safely up on the roof, all the debris out with as little disruption as possible, and have it all cleaned up after completion.

Klaus Larsen Roofing was 100% up to the challenge. Not only did we go the extra mile to preserve the curb appeal of the home by finding shingles that match the original colors, but we delivered it on time. A thorough cleanup took place the day before the Willimantic Victorian Home Tour event, when the streets would be packed with people touring these historic homes.
