Challenge
The existing roof of the garage in Windsor, CT consisted of two layers of asphalt over cedar. There was no plywood decking and it was beginning to show its age. The homeowners were considering going solar but did not commit.
Solution
The two layers of asphalt was removed and plywood decking was installed. Three rows of Owens Corning Weatherlock G Ice & Water was installed. Owens Corning Duration TruDefinition shingles, in the color of Colonial Slate, were used. White aluminum drip edge/rake flashing was installed along the outside perimeter of the roof.
