Large projects usually take contractors a long time to complete. Some roof replacements take days or weeks to tear off and then install the new shingles. However, Klaus Larsen Roofing is both efficient and effective with large projects. In Durham Connecticut, our crews replaced 3,200 sq ft of shingles on a house, garage, and barn roofs. The project started with the tear off of the old layer of shingles. All the plywood was inspected and rotten boards were replaced with new 1/2” plywood. We installed above the code with 9 feet of Ice & Water Barrier. ProArmor synthetic underlayment was used on the decking that remained unprotected. Finally, the new Owens Corning Duration Shingles (Color: Slatestone Gray) were installed. Each shingle comes with a SureNail strip highlights the exact nailing area while also reinforcing the nails. The entire project took one day to complete and clean-up afterward.
