We replaced the roof on this summer home in a very nice neighborhood. She really liked the Klaus Roofing System, and desperately needed it. People used 3-tab shingles initially because they were much cheap than architectural shingles, but they also don’t last nearly as long. We helped this homeowner file an insurance claim on their roof. It was a very old roof with storm damage, but the insurance company initially only wanted to pay for a repair. Unfortunately, the roof was too old for a repair, and they could not guarantee shingle matching, so the insurance company had to cover a full roof replacement in the end. It was good that they did; the roof's condition was beyond repair due to the significant storm damage. Several shingles had fallen off already, with more coming every day. We ended up replacing the entire roof and the roof deck as well!
