Challenge
This roof was only 8 years old, however, when it was done, it was done with particleboard. Particleboard is often considered stronger than plywood, but not when it comes to water applications because it expands when it gets wet and that is exactly what happened. Even their bathroom floor was starting to rot out due to these particle boards and their roofline was undulating.
Solution
It was clear this homeowner needed a new roof, but they also needed entirely new decking! We replaced all their old particleboard with CDX plywood and shingled over it with dynasty shingles.
