Stripping Off The Old Roofing Materials
We began by stripping off all the old asphalt shingles and underlayment. This allowed us to inspect the wood decking and prep the surface for a brand-new system. Using long tarps that stretch out over the property, we ensure your lawn and home will be damage-free from any falling debris during the stripping process.
SealoronXT Ice&Water and Deck Tape
With the old roof removed and the decking prepped, our crew got to work sealing every plywood seam using SealoronXT Deck Tape. This crucial step strengthens the entire structure by reinforcing the plywood and allowing for proper expansion and contraction of the wood. After the tape was applied, we installed SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield along the eaves, valleys, and other vulnerable areas of the roof, ensuring it has the protection it needs.
The Roof Seals Installed
Once the SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield was in place, we rolled out VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the remaining areas of the roof deck. This synthetic underlayment provides an added layer of defense against leaking, acting as a secondary barrier to protect the home in case water ever makes it past the shingles.
Installing The IKO Dynasty Shingles
With the underlayment in place, our crew began installing IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Summit Grey. These high-performance shingles are built to withstand tough weather conditions while adding a sharp, modern look to the home. With a limited lifetime warranty and built-in algae resistance, these shingles are designed to provide long-lasting protection and style.
Final Summit Grey IKO Shingles
The new roof gave Freddie's townhouse a clean, updated look. The Summit Grey shingles really fit the style of the home and make everything look fresh again. With everything sealed up and done right, his roof is now ready for whatever weather comes next.
