At Klaus Larsen, we take pride in delivering the best for our customers. When we stripped down Lou's old roof, we replaced any rotting or damaged boards with fresh Klaus Plywood, ensuring a strong foundation for the new roof. To protect this base, we applied several layers of seals to keep the plywood in top condition and safeguard his home.

First, we used Sealoron XT Deck Tape to secure the plywood boards while allowing for breathability between them. This tape is the first line of defense, preventing water from seeping through any gaps. Next, we applied Sealoron XT Ice & Water Shield to the edges and vulnerable areas of the roof, providing extra protection where it’s needed most. Finally, the Velora One Roof Underlayment was installed across the remaining surface, adding a crucial barrier between the shingles and the plywood.

For the finishing touch, Lou chose IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black—the best in the industry—to complete his home's fresh, modern look.

A beautiful transformation for this home's roof in Wethersfield, CT with a full Klaus Larsen Roofing System! This home's asphalt shingled roof was over 20 years old and in need of a replacement. We first replaced any damaged plywood and renailed the existing decking with Ring Shank Nails, a higher quality nail that is a cross between a nail and a screw and won't come out in high winds. We then laid down our Klaus Larsen Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. We also added 100 extra feet of Ice & Water for the lower slope roof on left rear of house. For even more protection, we installed our own Velora One Underlayment, a high performance synthetic underlayment designed to protect the home in even the most severe weather. We also took the extra step to protect the home by taping the plywood steams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape. It's the Klaus Roofing Way! To top it off, for new asphalt shingles, we installed IKO Dynasty Architectural Shingles featuring a 1-1/4" nailing area made with a tough reinforcing woven band for incredible nail-holding power to protect the home against Mother Nature's fury.
