Before Roof Replacement
The roof was already about 20 years old, so between its age and the storm damage, she decided to move forward with a full roof replacement. Wanting to make the most of this upgrade, she also chose the Klaus High Flow Complete Gutter System to ensure her home was protected from top to bottom.
Strip The Roof
Our crew began by carefully tearing off the old, worn shingles that had reached the end of their lifespan. Once the surface was cleared, we thoroughly inspected the roof decking underneath to check for any signs of damage or rot, making sure the structure was solid and ready for the new roofing system.
The Underlayments
After prepping the roof deck, we installed SealoronXT Deck Tape between all plywood seams to help seal out moisture. Next, we applied SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in the roof's most vulnerable areas for added protection. The rest of the roof was covered with VeloraONE Roof Underlayment, creating a strong barrier before we installed the brand-new IKO shingles.
The Flat Roof
This project wasn't just about replacing shingles. It also included a flat roof section at the rear of the home. For that portion, we installed a durable Polyglass roofing system, which provides long-lasting waterproofing and is ideal for low-slope areas.
After Roof Replacement
Now, Carolyn's home is protected by a complete Klaus Larsen Roofing system from top to bottom. We installed IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Shadow Brown, which not only have a stunning look to them, but are also built to withstand tough weather conditions. These shingles come with a reinforced nail zone and high wind resistance, helping protect her home for years to come.
