Challenge
An unventilated attic will negatively affect your home year-round. Excess moisture promotes mold growth while poor air circulation causes ice dams in the winter months. Gutters and shingles, as well as the interior of the home can be significantly damaged by ice dams. Our objective here in Glastonbury was to properly ventilate the structure and inhibit any of these issues.
Solution
We installed an eave vent that worked in conjunction with the ridge, to draw air from the attic and allow the home to breath properly. We rebuilt the underlayment, in order to reverse the damage and protect this property in the long run.
