Richard in Vernon, CT reached out to us when he realized his 20-year-old roof was worn down and covered in algae. During the replacement process, our crew removed the old roofing and found that all of the plywood needed to be replaced to ensure a solid, long-lasting foundation. We also replaced an aging skylight to prevent future leaks. Once the roof was fully prepped, we installed IKO Dynasty shingles in Summit Grey, giving the home a clean, updated look and a reliable roofing system built to last.
Seth in Vernon, CT purchased his home about three years ago, and during a recent wind and ice storm, a large section of the second-floor gutter was torn away from the house. The gutter was bent nearly 90 degrees and left hanging, creating a clear risk for further damage.
Our team removed the damaged section and installed a new Klaus HF gutter in Royal Brown to restore proper drainage and secure everything back in place. The new gutter blends in nicely with the home and is built to hold up against tough weather conditions.
With the repair complete, Seth’s home is once again protected from water damage, and the gutter system is functioning exactly as it should.
Mary contacted our team to evaluate the condition of her roof after noticing an area that she felt needed professional attention. Following a thorough inspection of her Vernon, CT, home, it was determined that replacing the upper rear roof plane would provide the best long-term solution.
Rather than replacing the entire roof, the project focused on the affected section by installing a new Klaus Essential Roofing System. The existing roofing materials were removed, allowing the crew to build a new roofing system designed to provide dependable protection where it was needed most.
As part of the installation, ice and water protection was installed in critical leak-prone areas, along with Sealoron XT deck tape over the plywood seams to create an added layer of defense against moisture. The roof was then finished with durable IKO Dynasty architectural shingles, providing reliable performance and a refreshed appearance.
With the repair complete, Mary's home now has a newly replaced roof section that blends with the existing roof while offering renewed protection against Connecticut's changing weather.
This was a strip and re-shingle in Chester, CT for a recently purchased home. The original roof had sustained a great deal of damage from power washing. We do not recommend power washing as it can remove shingle granules and void preexisting insurance policies. Klaus Larsen recycled all of the old asphalt. We also added an all new plywood deck over a dining room addition and rebuilt the skylight curb. The cupola recieved custom flashing, with SmartVent panels incorporated around its base, for ventilation. The homeowner was extremely satisfied with the work, and excited to make a home under their completely restored roof!
This colonial style home in Chester, CT was built in 1993 and in need of a roof, gutter and trim replacement. Klaus Larsen Roofing started by tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials and replacing one layer of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of Weatherlock G Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In terms of shingles, we installed Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Dual Black. For gutters, we installed Aluminum Seamless Gutters by Englert, in the color Hi-Gloss White. For trim, we installed new custom bent aluminum rake metal on all rakes, in the color white. This house is now looking better than ever thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
