Roger in Old Lyme, CT reached out to us because the main section of his home needed a roof upgrade. The existing asphalt shingle roof had a ventilation challenge since the structure of the house did not include ridge vents or soffits, which made proper airflow difficult. This was creating intense ice dams in the winter. To solve this, our team removed the old roofing materials and installed a vented super roof system designed to improve circulation and reduce moisture buildup inside the attic space. We also added SmartVent in front of the roof hatch to help create proper exhaust ventilation for the system. The project was completed with IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black, giving Roger’s home a strong, well-ventilated roof and a clean updated appearance. The Klaus Roofing Way!
This is a stately Victorian located in Stafford, CT. We first met the owners back in 2011, when we did a full roof replacement on their Colchester home. The declining three tab shingles here needed to go, so that the top of the house could be on par with the rest of the property. Klaus Larsen installed one layer of Designer Color Summer Harvest shingles over a deck covered in ice & water shield. We also re-shingled the turret and installed new vent pipe boots. The whole job was ensured under a 50 year full coverage warranty.
Klaus Larsen traveled to Connecticut's quiet corner to repair and replace this Columbia roof. Cambridge Charcoal Gray shingles were installed to compliment the bold, red paint of this house. Aesthetics are never ignored!
Here we had a charming lake house on Columbia Lake. The view made this job quite a treat.
It was April, but there was still snow on the ground in Columbia, CT. This homeowner wanted a company that could get the job done in one day, so as to avoid any issues with weather. Along with the new roof, we installed a solar powered Fresh Air Deck Velux skylight system with remote, that closes automatically at the first sign of rain. They are perfect for contemporary homes with cathedral ceilings like this one. The OC True Def Duration Brownwood color looks great on this country property.
