Andrew in Rockfall, CT, was dealing with an issue many homeowners face. His old gutters weren’t functioning properly, and were overflowing at the back of his house. This constant overflow was causing water to pool close to his foundation, which could lead to costly damage down the line. Andrew knew he needed a reliable gutter system to protect his home, so he reached out to us for help. We installed brand-new gutters designed to direct water away from his home, providing much-needed protection for both his foundation and his peace of mind.
This West Hartford, CT Colonial had three layers of deteriorated shingles that needed to be removed and replaced with a new roofing system. We always recommend starting with a fresh layer, as opposed to covering up asphalt and plywood that have been compromised by moisture. Though layering shingles was once a common practice, standards have changed drastically, and multiple layers can often hinder a home's chances of getting insurance or being sold on the market. Many insurance companies now insure by the layer. Poor ventilation is also attributed to multi-layering, as it causes your attic to suffocate, builds ice dams and will rapidly worsen any preexisting conditions. Having one complete layer with properly placed vents and underlayment will provide total protection, without having to worry about the eroded shingles lurking beneath.
This historic home in Hartford, featuring a 100-year-old slate roof, was in need of a full replacement. We carefully removed the old slate and assessed the roof deck, replacing any damaged plywood to ensure a strong foundation. Next, we applied our high-performance SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield and VeloraONE Roof Underlayment to protect against moisture and leaks. Finally, we installed beautiful IKO Dynasty Frosttone Grey shingles, giving the home a fresh, durable roof that respects its historic character while providing modern protection and longevity. The Klaus Roofing Way!
This homeowner was in need of a new roof on their garage. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials, we replaced all sheets of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of TriBuilt ice & water near all roof eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In accordance with the building code requirements, we sealed all roof joints with flashing tape. We installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Shingles with Charcoal Grey. We finished the job by installing purpose-made Hip and Ridge Shingles on all ridges and hips of the roof. This garage is now safe and secure thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing.
This home located in Hartford, CT was having serious roof problems. There were multiple shingles falling off and there was a leak from the roof over the back porch section of the home. To fix this issue we completely stripped the existing roof and replaced it with new asphalt shingles. After we stripped the old roof, we replaced 10 sheets of water-damaged plywood decking. To protect the home from outside moisture we laid down ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment which is engineered to repel water and to adhere to the roofing surface and new shingles. To make sure the structure of the chimney stays intact we removed the old flashing and replaced it with new lead chimney flashing.
