Donna in Killingworth, CT started noticing a few leaks coming from the side of her roof that hadn’t been replaced yet. The other side of the roof had been replaced with us the year before, but the remaining section had continued to age and eventually began letting water in. Wanting to understand what was happening, Donna reached out to our team for a free roof inspection. After taking a look, it was clear that the older side of the roof had reached the end of its life, so we moved forward with replacing the remaining section to complete the system. Here was a roof in Glastonbury, CT that was in need of repair. We always make sure to clean up thoroughly after a job and this property was left free of any nails or old shingles. 

During the renovation of this Glastonbury property, we found that carpenter bees had done considerable damage to the fascia boards around the trim. Outdated and unvented wood was making an ideal home for nature to start taking over. We installed new soffit vents, with air intake at the gutters and exhaust at the ridge. The roof was done in OC Duration Design Sedona Canyon Duration shingles, with a solar fan and additional ice panels for winter weather.  

Autumn is an ideal time for us to work, as it's right in between the two most damaging seasons to your roof. For this job in Glastonbury, two layers of shingles had to be removed prior to installation. The new roof shown here has Designer Color Merlot shingles with a VentSure ridge vent. We also removed and replaced the fascia boards and installed aluminum seamless gutter guards.
