Our crew removed the old shingles and inspected the roof deck, making sure it was solid and ready for a new system. We installed SealoronXT Deck Tape between each plywood seam, followed by SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in vulnerable areas, and VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the roof deck. The owners of this property had an old roof and leaks from Ice Dams. The Ice dams were causing water to come into the large bay window in the front of the house. The owners wanted the Ice Dams completely gone so they asked for our Vented Deck solution. A vented deck is a system of a built up second layer of plywood that allows air to pass between the two pieces. This keeps the roof deck cold and prevents from melting and refreezing on the roof.
