Klaus Larsen Roofing Before & After Photos

A beautiful transformation for this home's roof in Wethersfield, CT with a full Klaus Larsen Roofing System! This home's asphalt shingled roof was over 20 years old and in need of a replacement. We first replaced any damaged plywood and renailed the existing decking with Ring Shank Nails, a higher quality nail that is a cross between a nail and a screw and won't come out in high winds. We then laid down our Klaus Larsen Roofing SealoronXT Ice & Water self-sealing membrane to create a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. We also added 100 extra feet of Ice & Water for the lower slope roof on left rear of house. For even more protection, we installed our own Velora One Underlayment, a high performance synthetic underlayment designed to protect the home in even the most severe weather. We also took the extra step to protect the home by taping the plywood steams with our all-weather SealoronXT Deck Tape. It's the Klaus Roofing Way! To top it off, for new asphalt shingles, we installed IKO Dynasty Architectural Shingles featuring a 1-1/4" nailing area made with a tough reinforcing woven band for incredible nail-holding power to protect the home against Mother Nature's fury. The homeowner choose the shingle color Cornerstone for their new roof.

Kyle in Wethersfield, CT reached out to us when his roof, nearly 24 years old, was clearly past its prime. To give his home a modern look and long-term protection, we performed a complete roof replacement using IKO Dynasty shingles in Granite Black. During the process, we stripped away the old shingles, applied SealoronXT Deck Tape over all the plywood seams, layered SealoronXT Ice & Water in the vulnerable zones, and rolled out VeloraONE underlayment across the rest of the surface. The new IKO shingles were then installed, offering algae-resistant copper granules and a 130 mph wind warranty. The results? This was another 'Roof Your Neighborhood' project in the town of Glastonbury, CT. When homeowners in the same community invest in their roof at the same time, we can offer a sizable discount on materials, as we are able to buy them in bulk. The first part of the process entailed removing and recycling one layer of old shingles. This was followed by inspecting and replacing all deteriorated plywood, so that we could safely install an underlayment membrane for added moisture protection. The finished shingles here are Slatestone Gray.  

Lisa in Niantic, CT, reached out to replace her roof, which had been in place since 1989. While it wasn’t actively leaking, the roof had reached the end of its lifespan, and she wanted to take care of it before any issues started.

Our team removed the existing roofing materials and inspected the decking to make sure everything underneath was in good condition. During the process, we also completed repairs along the rake near the chimney and addressed sections of the fascia on the sidewalls to ensure everything was properly sealed and finished. Once the roof was prepped, we installed a full roofing system to provide long-term protection.
