At his own home, he noticed a leak around one of the vent boots, so we came out for an inspection. During the process, we also discovered that two bathroom exhaust fans were venting directly into the attic instead of outside, which was adding unnecessary moisture to the space. To fix these issues, our crew sealed the plywood with SealoronXT Ice & Water, replaced the torn vent pipe with a new 3" Perma-Boot, and added two brand-new exhaust vent hoods with built-in dampers to properly direct airflow. We also installed another Perma-Boot nearby to ensure both plumbing pipes are fully protected. The roof was finished off with IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Cornerstone, giving Joe the peace of mind that his home is not only repaired but also safeguarded against future leaks. This large colonial style home in Griswold, CT was in need of a new roof and new gutter system. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing material, we replaced 5 damaged sheets of plywood decking. We then covered the entire roof deck with two rows of ice & water barrier. For new shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Dual Black. For the new gutters, we installed 5" heavy duty Aluminum Seamless gutters by Englert. We finished the job by removing and replacing the existing flashing on the chimney with brand new lead flashing.
