Roof Replacement Before & After Photos

This barn-style garage located in Westbrook, CT required a new roof and Klaus Larsen Roofing was able to do just that! We started this project by tearing away one layer of existing roofing materials and disposing of them properly. We inspected the roof decking for damage, and we found 3 damaged plywood decking sheets which we removed and replaced. To protect against rain and snow, we installed two rows of Ice & Water Barrier as well as a layer of Synthetic Underlayment to help repel water. For the shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with Dynasty Architectural Shingles in the Granite Black colorway. This barn-style roof is ready for anything thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

This raised ranch home located in Moodus, CT had a roof well over 20 years old. This roof was in need of a full roof replacement and installation of a new roofing system. We stripped the existing roof and replaced any damaged plywood decking. Then, we laid down Ice & Water Shield to protect the interior of the home from any moisture. To follow the Ice & Water Shield we laid down ProArmor Synthetic Underlayment to add a second layer of moisture and water repellant. To finish this roofing system off, we put in ProEdge Hip & Ridge Shingles on all ridges and hips and replaced the existing vent pipe boot.

Tyson in Moodus, CT, reached out looking to replace the roof on his barn, which was about 30 years old and showing clear signs of wear. With the roof at the end of its lifespan, a full roof replacement was the best way to protect the structure moving forward.

Our team removed the old roofing materials and rebuilt the system, taking extra care on the steep slope areas by hand sealing them for added protection. We finished the roof with IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Atlantic Blue, giving the barn a clean, updated look. As part of the project, we also installed a new HighFlow gutter system in white to improve drainage and help manage water around the building.

With the new roof and gutters in place, Tyson’s barn is now set up with strong, reliable protection built to last.

At this beautiful natural cedar shake home in Deep River, CT we installed a brand new roof. We were able to update the home with new plywood decking and Duration shingles while preserving the natural look of the home. We also replaced the roof on the detached garage and installed a new cupola!

Mauricio in Deep River trusted us with his beautiful home, and this project required extra care from the moment we arrived. He wanted a full roof replacement in the Driftshake shingle color, but also asked that all of the existing copper, including the chimney flashing, be preserved because of its natural patina. Before any work began, our crew took the time to protect the property exactly as requested. The homeowner had just invested in a new driveway and landscaping, so we placed wood under all equipment and built plywood teepees over the shrubs to ensure nothing was damaged during the installation. Once the home and grounds were fully protected, we moved forward with the roof replacement in the IKO Dynast shingles in the color Driftshake, and finished by adding Raindrop gutter guards to every gutter for long-term performance and easier maintenance.
