After a tree fell and damaged the roof over their kitchen, these homeowners in Storrs, CT were in need of assistance. Since most of the roof was asphalt shingles and they didn’t know how old it was, they reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing for a full roof inspection and replacement quote. Our team did a full roof replacement, replacing any damaged plywood and installing a Klaus Roofing System on both the house and attached garage. We started with SealoronXT Deck Tape on each plywood seam to seal out moisture, followed by SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in the most vulnerable areas. The rest of the roof was protected with VeloraONE Roof Underlayment. This single-family home in Storrs, CT was in need of a new roof. After tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials, we replaced one sheet of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of ice & water barrier near all roof eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In terms of shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System with IKO Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Dual Black. We then installed a brand new ridge vent on all ridges of the house to keep consistent attic ventilation.
