During the renovation of this Glastonbury property, we found that carpenter bees had done considerable damage to the fascia boards around the trim. Outdated and unvented wood was making an ideal home for nature to start taking over. We installed new soffit vents, with air intake at the gutters and exhaust at the ridge. The roof was done in OC Duration Design Sedona Canyon Duration shingles, with a solar fan and additional ice panels for winter weather.
This multi-family home in Glastonbury, CT was built in 1800 and had significant water damage which required a roof replacement. Klaus Larsen Roofing began by tearing off and disposing of two layers of existing roofing materials. Next, we replaced all damaged plywood decking and installed DeckSeal Modified Bitumen Flat Roofing in the color Shasta White. Lastly, we removed and replaced flashing on the chimney with new lead flashing. This home is now equipped with a proper roof that will protect all who call this home!
Nicholas in Glastonbury, CT had been keeping an eye on his roof, knowing it had been protecting his home since it was first built 27 years ago. Over time, the signs of wear became more noticeable, and he knew it was time for an upgrade before any major issues popped up. Wanting something dependable that would also improve the look of his home, Nicholas reached out to Klaus Larsen Roofing. We started with a full tear-off of the aging roof system to inspect the deck underneath and make sure it was still in good shape. Once the prep work was complete, we installed our full roofing system using IKO shingles in Summit Grey, a modern color that gave his home a clean new look. Our crew also installed four brand-new Velux deck-mounted skylights. These not only let in natural light but also help with insulation and airflow. Now, Nicholas’s home is looking refreshed and is ready to face whatever the New England weather brings. From the worn-out original roof to a sleek new system with a 50-year warranty, this transformation is a perfect example of what you can expect when you Put a Klaus on Your House!
