This single-family home ins Stafford Springs, CT was in need of a new roof. Klaus Larsen Roofing started the process by tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials and replacing 1 layer of damaged plywood decking. We then installed 2 rows of Ice & Water Barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys, etc. In terms of shingles we installed Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Dual Grey. We finished the job by removing and replacing all flashing on the chimney with brand new lead flashing. This house is now complete, thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!
Curtis in Union, CT, reached out after concerns started developing with the roofing system on his home, garage, and shed. At around 18 years old, the roof was beginning to show wear with loose shingles, aging materials, and ventilation issues that were affecting overall performance.
This property included a combination of traditional sloped roofing areas along with a flat roof section, requiring different roofing systems tailored to each part of the structure. For the main home, our team installed a complete SuperRoof system designed to provide enhanced protection across both the standard shingle areas and the low-slope roof section.
The garage and shed each received full regular roof replacements to match the updated appearance and improve long-term durability throughout the property.
To build the new system, we installed SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in vulnerable areas, VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the roof deck, and SealoronXT Deck Tape to help seal the plywood seams against moisture intrusion.
The sloped roofing sections were finished with IKO shingles in Summit Gray, while the flat roof area was completed using Polyglass roofing material in Gray Slate for a clean, cohesive appearance across the entire property.
With the project complete, Curtis now has a fully updated roofing system with improved ventilation, stronger protection, and a refreshed look for the home, garage, and shed.
This ranch-style home built in the mid 1960s desperately needed a new roof replacement. From the outside, you could see that some of the plywood was buckling underneath the existing shingles. To start we stripped the existing roofing materials and replaced 8 full sheets of plywood decking. Then, we laid down G Ice & Water Shield to protect the interior of the home from any outside moisture. For shingles, we installed TruDefiniton Duration Shingles in the color Quarry Gray. In any home, it is important to have ventilation int he attic so that no moisture or mold builds up. To ensure top-notch consistent attice ventilation we installed a VentSure Ridge Vent.
The attic in this Storrs, CT Colonial was stifling. We found that faulty ventilation within the old roof was to blame for an overly hot and unlivable third floor. This home also experienced serious ice dams in the winter time, which are a sure indicator of poor air flow in the roof line. We installed a new roof with improved furrings and under-gutter vents. The owner has since reported that their upstairs living space is now comfortable, even on the hotter summer days.
This home in Storrs got a complete roof replacement on the house and attached garage. Although the roof was a large project, it was completed in one day. Color: Onyx Black. Call or contact us today for a FREE price estimate! 1-844-640-9774
