This Cape style home located in Meriden, CT was having issues with their roof that was leaking. The old shingles on the home were single-tabbed shingles which is a dated and old style not known for its durability. Because this roof was leaking, it had ample damage to the plywood decking which is the base structure of the roof. We completely tore off the decking and replaced it with brand new plywood. One of the most important parts when it comes to roof replacement is attic ventilation. If your attic is not well ventilated it can cause issues with your roof and your entire home. To help with this we installed a Ventsure Ridge Vent which provides top-notch consistent attic ventilation and a weather protection moisture barrier.

Lisa in Meriden reached out for a full roof replacement across her main home, attached garage, and backyard shed. The roof was very straightforward, but we made a few key updates to improve how the system performs long term.

On the main home, we blocked off both gable vents and installed a continuous ridge vent to create a more balanced ventilation system. This allows air to flow properly from intake to exhaust, helping prevent moisture buildup and extending the life of the roof. As with all of our roof replacements, we installed SealoronXT Ice & Water Shield in vulnerable areas, VeloraONE Roof Underlayment across the decking, and SealoronXT Deck Tape to seal the plywood seams. The system was finished with IKO Dynasty shingles in Shadow Brown, giving the home, garage, and shed a clean, consistent look.

This colonial-style home in Meridan, CT was in need of a new roof and gutters. We started by tearing off one layer of existing roofing materials and replacing all damaged plywood decking. We installed 2 rows of ice & water barrier near all eaves, valleys, chimneys etc. In terms of shingles, we installed Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the color Charcoal Grey. In terms of gutters, we new 5-inch heavy duty Aluminum Seamless Gutters by Englert. We finished by removing the existing vent pipe boot and replacing it with a brand new 4-inch Perma-Boot. This house is now complete thanks to Klaus Larsen Roofing!

This single family home in Meriden, CT was undergoing a makeover and it would not be complete without a new roof from Klaus Larsen Roofing! We started off this project by tearing away and disposing of one layer of asphalt roofing. After inspecting the roof decking, we found 3 damaged plywood decking sheets which needed to be replaced. For weather-resistance we added two layers of Ice & Water Barrier and covered the rest of the decking with Synthetic Underlayment. For the shingles, we installed a Klaus Larsen Roofing System using Cambridge Architectural Shingles in the Dual Black colorway. We added a ridge vent to keep consistent attic ventilation as well as replacing the old chimney flashing and vent pipe boot.
