At this late 1930s Colonial-style home located in Mystic, CT we installed a brand new roof using the Kluas Roofing Way. The homeowners had just replaced their roof in 2010. However, because of improper installation and poor quality products, they needed to completely strip and re-roof their home. When we arrived at the home we first begin tearing off the old shingles. We replaced any damaged plywood decking and laid down Ice & Water Shield to protect the interior of the home. In addition, we installed underlayment to adhere to the roofing surface and repel any outside moisture. For shingles, we used architectural-style asphalt shingles in the color Onyx Black. To top it off, we installed new lead chimney flashing from around each of the chimneys on the house.
